An airborne view of the GCRCC flying field taken
from the west of the field. This photo was taken during the
2002 Circus. The cars are parked behind the shelter and planes
are flying around the east-west runway. The deep green to the
north and west of the runway is planted with corn in this
photo. The parched brown is the grass that took a beating in
the drought of 2002. GCRCC maintauns the grass around the
field and the small pond where Cinergy maintains a picnic shelter.
A passing Stearman grabs a picture from the
southwest. The trees and bushes south of the field are on a
steep hill. The field sits on top of that hill and gets all of
the wind the day can muster.
